FARMERS
The Asproguate farmer’s association was formed in 2014 by 100 producers to market their organic coffees. The association holds monthly workshops on organic fertilizers, fungicides, and insecticides so producers can make these essential products on their own farms. They also train on erosion mitigation and shade cover. 55% of producer members are women, which is great because there are some Cooperatives that require members to be landowners, who are typically men.
Empty headingROASTERS
For a light roast Guatemala like this San Martin Jilotepeque, we aim to develop its sweetness while keeping the cup profile from being overly roasted or burnt. We don’t go too light, because acidity is not what makes this coffee shine, what makes it shine is its chocolaty and sweet profile, like a fresh-baked cinnamon bun!
Empty headingCOFFEE LOVERS
This is a great coffee for someone who either wants a light cup profile, or for someone who likes to taste the variety and Terroir instead of tasting roast. You will get the flavors from the fields of San Martín Jiloteqeque in this coffee! It is great for drip and manual brewing.
